This facility is home to integrated processes which allow us to provide quality products from prototype through production. Capabilities Our modern facility, creative engineering staff, efficient program management and state-of-the-art systems allow us to respond to our customers’ needs with technically superior, timely and cost-effective solutions. Our vertically integrated operating structure includes capabilities in design, documentation, research and development, PC board fabrication, machining, metal finishing, assembly, electrical and environmental testing. We employ a highly customized Information System which integrates all essential operating and tracking functions from quotation and order entry, barcode labor reporting and material costing, through production and shipment of product.  The
latest in design simulation and modeling software is used to insure effective
and efficient results prior to building prototype hardware. Design tools
such as finite element analysis, structural analysis and 3D modeling are
regularly evaluated, added and updated to insure that we maintain a competitive
edge. These state-of-the-art electrical and mechanical simulation design
tools are used in tandem with dedicated quick-reaction prototype capabilities
in order to realize new designs quickly and afford fast time to market.Our test capabilities are fluid, and periodic upgrades occur to accommodate most major new program requirements. Automated equipment and a regular calibration program assure that all test stations provide uniform and accurate assessments of the unit under test. Technologies The increasing complexity and sensitivity of todays’ microwave systems require that product design and development occur with an equivalent level of sophistication and ingenuity. At TRM, we do not force a specific design approach on our customers, but rather we openly evaluate all available possibilities with the intent of providing the best solution possible to satisfy the need. Based on our diverse breadth of product, it is necessary to have design and manufacturing skills in multiple circuit and packaging technologies. To this end, TRM has developed and maintains the capability to produce products using ferrite, coaxial, stripline, microstrip or Airstrip™ technologies. Given the design goals, one or more of these technologies is employed to achieve optimum performance levels. Our flexibility doesn’t stop with the circuit. We are one of the industry leaders in the integration of blindmate connectors and we provide a broad range of packaging options including connectorized housings, radial lead flatpacks, surface mount flatpacks, through-hole housings, caseless and open substrate. The selection of materials used can be matched to the specific needs of a customer’s application in order to maximize performance and reliability of the module and system. We are also proficient in the use of contour machining techniques to reduce size, weight and volume when necessary. To maximize long term reliability of designs requiring active components, we use packaged semiconductors which are screened to meet application specific requirements. These devices are either surface mounted or thru-hole mounted to the circuit board to provide a high quality interconnect.
